OGBADIBO CULTURAL CARNIVAL:THE 21st CENTURY CULTURAL SALVATION OF THE IDOMA NOTION By Sunny Green Itodo and Linda Ochagla

Prio to the 19-20th century western civilisation rushed by Africans,African Culture was the most admirable culture in the world(which the Idoma culture is certainly not in exception). But the advent 19-20th century white colonisation and western civilisation rushed by black Africans made the Africans to lose those virtues\cultural treasures that attracted the whiteman to Africa.
At the end of the European loots(colonisation) Africa (the virginland) is robbed of her cultural virtues\artistic materials. Her(Africa) rappists(colonialists) exported\shipped her rich cultural heritages to museums overseas to develop their own (Colonialists's) countries.Africa became The Land of Lost Glory and she was reduced to ruins.

Those Colonialists exported\shipped the virtues\Cultural artistic materials to museums overseas for the development of their own countries. And forced their ill-fated Cultures(western lifestyle,language,dressing,mood of greatting,foods,music&dance etc) on Africa,which is fuelling the wave of moral Decadence accross Africa today.
But Africans in their quest for a CULTURAL SALVATION\REMEDY have began a CULTURAL REVOLUTION since the beginning of the 21th century .
One of it is the team CARNIVAL.
Carnival have become DIGITAL MEANS OF CULTURAL PRESERVATION FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS,and also a means by which modern people of Africa showcases their rich cultural heritages to the outside World.
So therefor,the advent of Ogbadibo Cultural Carnival in Idomaland is timely and most needful in this present age of high rates of crime and Social Menace in our society.
The economic and social importants of the Carnival can not be over emphasied aparts from revenue generation,.tourist's investment atractions,social fun fare, it will also help in curbing social menace in the society.
What started as an idea of one man(Comr.Agada Manex Johnson of Nollywood) have become a possible Cultural Salvation for Idoma nation and a digital means of Cultural Preservation for the future generations.
IDOMA,Ogbadibo Cultural Carnival is a reality!
