Benue: 500 APC members defect to PDP in Ohimini, as Eric Adokwu emerges flag bearer

By Yemi Itodo

No fewer than 500 supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), including some of the executive members of the party, both present and past, have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ohimini LGA of Benue State.

This is coming on the heels of the emergence of Arc. Eric Adokwu as the standard bearer of the PDP in the June 3 2017 local government poll in Ohimini.

The decamping ceremony was done Yesterday, at Onyagede council ward, when the PDP candidate, Adokwu, visited the area, in continuation of his wards tour.

Speaking on behalf of the decamping APC members, Hon. Ameh, said the emergence of Eric Adokwu as PDP candidate spurred their defection, adding that, it would amount to breaching the law of nature, if they worked against a man whom has given so much to the community.

While eulogising the personality of Arc. Eric Adokwu and his contributions to the development of Onyagede and Ohimini in general, Hon. Ameh assured the PDP of landslide victory at the forthcoming chairmanship election.

Receiving the decamping members, Arc. Eric Adokwu, thanked the people for their wise decision, stressing that, their gestures would be reciprocated through more infrastructural developments, after his victory on the 3rd June.

He, therefore, advised the people and the general public, to go out and get registered in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise by INEC, to enable them vote for PDP, come June 3rd, 2017.

Onyagede is a home country of Hon. Sule Audu, former Deputy Speaker of Benue House of Assembly and State Chairman of PDP.

I Killed My 2 Sisters and bought 114 Babies for money rituals - Shocking Confession of a Rich Guy

I Killed My 2 Sisters and bought 114 Babies for money rituals - Shocking Confession of a Rich Guy

He is Nana Wan, aka Mr Wealth and he has a Lamborghini, Range Rover, Chrysler, BMW X6 and more in his garage. Go to Madina and his name is the one name which moves Sakawa Boys. It is more like everyone wants to be like Nana Wan. According to him, he killed his 2 sisters, son and some 114 babies to make 500billion old cedis in a week. He is the Chairman/C.E.O of Waife Group Of Companies and the president of the biggest movement 2hype music & clothing. As it turns out, he evil deeds has caught up with him and this is how Ghbase.Com reported his sakawa deals.

Nana Wan confessed at the Resurrection Power Chapel, Weija that his wealth was not real and that they were all given to him by a Marine spirit from the underworld. Confessing how he got into the act, Nana Wan who was very emotional and full of remorse disclosed that, he was pushed into the act because his father abandoned his mother and his 5 other siblings some 6 years ago and times were very hard for him. He couldn’t bare the pain his mother had to go through to cater for all six of them, as the mother kept running into debts after debts. He wanted to do something in his will to save his family from disgrace so he seeked counsel from one elderly man he went to stay with and he assured him that he could help him with his financial woes if he was ready to do what it takes.

According to him, he was desperate at the time and accepted the man’s offer and he followed the man and 11 other people to some place in Benin. According to him, the place was an Island and as they sat in the boat going to the place, a room emerged from nowhere and an old man welcomed them, telling them he knew what had brought them there.

He said that they were led into a room, where a Mermaid (maame water) came and told them to drop Ghc1,500 on the floor for the rituals to begin. He disclosed that a crocodile came to pick their monies away and when the crocodile does not bring back the money, then it meant, they were qualified to go through the next step.

( The Mermaid did something again but we can’t put that here for now so we would fast forward the story) Those of them who survived the other stage of the ritual were then asked to go back and find any kind of job to do for a week and that, they would receive money after the week.

He disclosed that, he worked with a woman who sold kelewele in their neighborhood for the week and then when the time was up, he quitted the job

His other colleagues who went with him informed him that they had received their money. He had his big Ghana-Must Go bag in his room that faithful day waiting for his money to come. After several minutes of waiting, he felt a strong wind blowing in the room and then a very beautiful woman from the underworld asked him how much he wanted. He mentioned that, the woman was the first daughter of the Mermaid and she expressed interest in him. He requested for 200Billion old cedis and the Mermaid asked him to leave the room and come back after some time. He came back after some 30 minutes to see the amount he had requested for in the bag.

He was more than overjoyed and decided to leave the house that night after telling his mum, he wanted to go stay with a friend so there can be enough space for his other siblings in the chamber and hall apartment.

That was the beginning of wealth for him. He disclosed that, every week he got another 200 Billion old cedis and the first daughter of the mermaid would visit him every week for several sexual bouts. He mentioned that, she was like any normal human being but very very beautiful and he even went out with her several times. For the first 3 years, he performed no rituals and lived life to the fullest, getting his wealth increased every week.

Idomadiva blog gathered that after the 3 years, that was when the horror started….

Nana Wan disclosed that, after the first 3 years, the goddess started making demands that he needs to make some sacrifices or he would die just like the other people he started with who had already died. The goddess demanded that he brought her new babies every two months for the rituals.

He said he bought the babies from a nurse who helped her at the 37 Military Hospital for 1 billion cedis each. He bought 114 new babies for the rituals within a certain period until he was unable to get the babies anymore because the nurse said she was tired of stealing babies for him.

He then pleaded with the goddess to change the sacrifice he has to make for him and she accepted and asked that he sleep with her 20 times a day from Friday to

Monday, if he still needed to be alive. He further disclosed that, the goddess told him, she wasn’t satisfied with the sex and that she wants 40 times a day from Friday to Monday.

It became a very herculean task for him as he lost soo much weight satisfying the goddess and she wouldn’t let him stop till he started bleeding from the pe*is.

He then pleaded again with the goddess to do something about it since, he was getting weaker. The goddess then asked him to bring people who are very close to him as a sacrifice in exchange for his life. First he took his own son who was then just a baby and after sometime he was asked to bring one of his sisters. He took his eldest sister who was their first born. He bought her a brand new range rover and after some 3 weeks, she had a fatal accident and she died.

After sometime, the goddess asked her to bring another sister of her. He pleaded with the goddess to take her sister’s womb so she spares her life but her other sister too was putting pressure on him to buy her a car for school.

She was a level 300 student at Legon and he bought her a range rover and she also lost her life in an accident around Okponglo. He thought the sacrifices were over until the goddess asked him to bring his mother for the rituals. He cried and begged the goddess to spare his mother’s life but to no avail. He was then instructed to buy her mom a brand new car so they take care of the rest

Fortunately, the mother received a prophesy in church that his son would buy her a car and that if he brings it, she shouldn’t take it. So when she bought the car for the mother, she rejected it.

It was his failure to bring her mother for the ritual that he was informed that he had just one month to live. He confessed that, he started searching for salvation when he was told he had 1 month to live. According to him, he moved from one church to the other visiting all the big churches and men of God in

The country to see if he can be saved.

He confessed that the goddess kept haunting him each time he visits any church. He even revealed that, he met some big and powerful men of God at the underworld when they go for meetings. ( We would tell you the story of how he ended at Resurrection Power Chapel)

His story was very lengthy and we would tell you more about the things he said and the other many things he had to do like what he does each time he sleeps with other girls.

He was supposed to die on Monday but he has been saved and delivered and we are working hard to get more info. He’s now a born again Christian and the power in the name Jesus has saved him.

He’s going to lose all of his assets and everything he ever bought with the evil money. We all can take a cue from this and refrain from such evil activities. There’s no need to rush in life. So far as there’s life, there’s hope

Emirates rejects naira in payment for flight

Emirates rejects naira in payment for flight

Emirates Airlines

• It is illegal, says NCAA
• Stranded passengers allege discrimination

Emirates Airlines has rejected the Nigerian currency, naira, for payment by travellers to Brazil. The Dubai-based airline is rather demanding a credit card mode of payment from passengers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The development, which caught many passengers unawares, caused some of them to be left behind, despite having bought tickets weeks earlier. The Guardian observed that while some passengers were turned back by the airline’s officials at the counter for already buying tickets in naira, they also ensured that a passenger who had earlier checked in for the 5:55 p.m. Lagos-Dubai Sunday flight never boarded the plane.

The Emirates office in Lagos yesterday confirmed that the credit card mode of payment is indeed the company’s policy, though it would not explain the rationale. An official of the airline, Babatunde Yahaya, who explained the new policy to angry passengers on Sunday said the action was in line with a memo issued to them, demanding that any ticket issued on Emirates, for passengers travelling from Nigeria to Brazil, “must be by credit card and not cash.” Yahaya said the directive was issued on September 22 and took effect immediately.

Reading from a sheet of paper to the evicted passengers, he said: “Any ticket issued on Emirates Airline from Nigeria to Brazil must be paid for with credit card and not cash.“The credit card holder must be verified, preferably not his passport. And even when issued by a third party, the credit card holder must be verified and his credit card ascertained.”

One of the affected passengers, Obinna, said it was “humiliation of the highest order,” and so shameful that such is happening on Nigerian soil.“This is a ticket bought almost two weeks ago from Emirates and they collected cash. Besides the fact that it is illegal to reject it for whatever reason, why did they collect the naira when they wanted a credit card? This is so disgraceful and I’ve never seen anything like it in my life,” Obinna said.

Another Brazil-bound passenger said it amounted to cheating the Nigerian system to insist that a ticket must be paid for with a credit card because the fares would be deducted in dollar equivalent and at the official exchange rate.“This is sheer discrimination against Nigerians that ordinarily would have been taken up in a sane clime. The ticket was purchased even before the date the so-called memo was issued. So, why did they collect the fares when they knew they would not honour them?” the passenger said on the condition of anonymity.

The airline, however, denied discrimination against anyone, citing a “company policy” that was not adhered to by travel agencies. The Emirates’ office in Lagos said the passengers affected bought their tickets some days before the scheduled travel, and had done so through travel agencies.

Early this year, some foreign airlines were allegedly demanding that tickets be purchased with foreign currencies or from overseas, in the wake of dollar scarcity and foreign airlines’ funds getting stuck in Nigeria. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) then warned all airlines to desist from the act which it described as a flagrant contravention of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)’s “prerequisite guiding cost of products or services in Nigeria.”

The apex bank insisted that “pricing of any product shall continue to be in naira only and it is illegal to price or denominate the cost of any product or service (visible or invisible) in any foreign currency.”Reacting to the latest development, Spokesman for NCAA, Sam Adurogboye, said the action was contrary to the provisions of the Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) between Nigeria and other countries as contained in Article 8 (4).

According to Adurogboye, the agreement provides for ticket payment either in local currency or official currency of the airline’s host country, but as preferred by the passenger. He said: “You (airlines) are duty bound to accept any mode of payment that the traveller chooses. And you don’t turn them down. If you do, then that is where we come in.”

He added that the regulatory authority was not unaware of complaints against foreign airlines operating in the country and had been appealing to them instead of going punitive.

According to Adurogboye, many of the airlines still have their funds stuck in Nigeria amidst dollar scarcity, noting that it would be most unfair to wield the big stick when they violate rules. He assured that NCAA would investigate the development with Emirates and act accordingly.

OGBADIBO CULTURAL CARNIVAL:THE 21st CENTURY CULTURAL SALVATION OF THE IDOMA NOTION By Sunny Green Itodo and Linda Ochagla

OGBADIBO CULTURAL CARNIVAL:THE 21st CENTURY CULTURAL SALVATION OF THE IDOMA NOTION By Sunny Green Itodo and Linda Ochagla

Prio to the 19-20th century western civilisation rushed by Africans,African Culture was the most admirable culture in the world(which the Idoma culture is certainly not in exception). But the advent 19-20th century white colonisation and western civilisation rushed by black Africans made the Africans to lose those virtues\cultural treasures that  attracted the whiteman to Africa.
At the end of the European loots(colonisation) Africa (the virginland) is robbed of her cultural virtues\artistic materials. Her(Africa) rappists(colonialists) exported\shipped her rich cultural heritages to museums overseas to develop their own (Colonialists's) countries.Africa became The Land of Lost Glory and she was reduced to ruins.

Those Colonialists exported\shipped the virtues\Cultural artistic materials to museums overseas for the development of their own countries. And forced their ill-fated Cultures(western lifestyle, language, dressing, mood of greatting, foods, music&dance etc) on Africa, which is fuelling the wave of moral Decadence accross Africa today.
But Africans in their quest for a CULTURAL SALVATION\REMEDY have began a CULTURAL REVOLUTION since the beginning of the 21th century .
One of it is the team CARNIVAL.
Carnival have become DIGITAL MEANS OF CULTURAL PRESERVATION FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS,and also a means by which modern people of Africa showcases their rich cultural heritages to the outside World.
So therefor, the advent of Ogbadibo Cultural Carnival in Idomaland is timely and most needful in this present age of high rates of crime and Social Menace in our society.
The economic and social importants of the Carnival can not be over emphasied aparts from revenue generation,.tourist's investment atractions, social fun fare, it will also help in curbing social menace in the society.
What started as an idea of one  man(Comr.Agada Manex Johnson of Nollywood) have become a possible Cultural Salvation for Idoma nation and a digital means of Cultural Preservation for the future generations.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH MRS REGINA GEGE,PROPRIETRESS AND OWNER OF NADI SCHOOL MAKURDI

Idomadiva diva blog paid a visit to Nadi School Makurdi and had an interview with the Proprietress of the school Mrs Regina Gege... Read interview below.

Introduction......., Can we meet you?

Ans.....I’m Doofan Regina Gege, I’m the proprietress of NADI SCHOOLS I am happily married to Mr. Benjamin Gege, I am a mother of four children.
As a teacher and proprietress of NADI SCHOOLS, I have NCE, Degree and PHD in view so the academic environment has become second to home to me having been in the teaching profession for over 10 years, taught in Gboko High School as well as Government college Makurdi respectively, so you see, what I do has now become a part of me

Question....What Inspired the vision of NADI SCHOOLS?

Ans....My love for children really inspired me because I always want to impart something into them at every given opportunity.

Question...What are your goals for NADI SCHOOL in 2016?

Ans.....Yes, NADI SCHOOLS started in 2013 with just three (3) classrooms, but now we have so many classrooms. There is a kindergarten section that has twelve (12)  classes but two (2)  already  completed  and equipped with state of the art facilities as well as the primary session which now has eleven (11) classes with our eyes set on meeting word class standards based on global educational trends.
As regards our plans for 2016, we have employed a new diction teacher to resume this September after the break, even as we speak, there is a proposal on my desk a from a professional music training service provider named Ale’s World Entertainment to introduce music lessons & trainings for the children  at the beginning of the new session come September.
We have so many other mouthwatering programs in view that we will soon make public as the year goes by.

Question...Where do you see NADI SCHOOLS in the next Ten (10) years?

Ans..In the next ten years NADI SCHOOL is going to be a household name in the educational sector with international recognition.

Question...As an entrepreneur in the educational sector, what are the challenges you have faced?

Ans...Just as sector there is no sector that does not have its challenges, one of the major challenges we are faced with is the issue of prompt and timely payment of school fees, we all know the country’s economic situation and the difficulty that comes with it especially in Benue where there is irregular payment of salaries thereby affecting us in no small way I tell you!

Question....With your wealth of Experience, What are the possible solutions to these challenges facing the educational sector?

Ans...The system is gradually going down, when I started this place it was passion driven but today you will notice that so many people now open schools simply because they want to make money, so they go about it unprofessionally and to that I will like to say this here that ‘You can’t give what you don’t have’ they are cheating the children instead of teaching them.
Many of the government schools you see today are dilapidated, no good learning environment for the children, the teachers are either not adequately trained or not motivated, so my advice to the teachers is for them to commit themselves to proper teachers training courses if untrained and government should boost the moral and motivation of teachers by paying their salaries, allowances and other incentives as at when due.
I call on the government supervisory body in charge of private schools to look into the population of private schools in the state and ensure to fish out all those that do not comply to the stipulated standards and such schools should be shut down if possible to preserve the good image of the private educational sector.

Question...What advice do you have for parents in respect to their children’s education despite the economic situation?

Ans...My advice is that parents should make the children’s education top priority, if that is done they will be able to keep up despite the tough economic situation in the country. They can suspend some of the expenses and pay the children fees. They have to carter for their needs moreover, the children didn’t ask anybody to bring them into the world for God sake. As far as I am concerned, education is the best gift any parent can give to their children.
